TransMagic R14 – Inventor Apprentice 2024 & 2025

Inventor Apprentice is like a smaller version of Inventor but without a user interface; you can only access it via its API; however, once installed it does supply the same Inventor View capability to “Enable Native Kernel for Inventor 2024” (click first link below) or “Enable Native Kernel for Inventor 2025” (click second link below).

TransMagic Inventor Hybrid Translator

By default TransMagic uses a limited and lightweight yet still native “DLL based” translator to read Inventor data. This default translator doesn’t support as much information like transparency properties and other data.

However, you can opt to download and install Inventor View and then we will use that kernel for a more comprehensive “kernel based” translation that supports more material data and other properties.

You can make this change in TransMagic Settings > Inventor Read, check the box that says “Use Inventor Kernel if available”.
